There is an on-going and considerable change in the delivery of integrated service in atopic dermatitis (AD), with an increased emphasis on an improved patient focus and a shift of care closer to the patient and their community worldwide. Patients with skin diseases should benefit from an integrated approach in service delivery, mainly through improvements in assisted self- management. It is alredy proved that high quality and integrated services have the potential to improve patient outcomes and increase the quality of life.

Beyond the skin: a holistic model of services delivery in Atopic Dermatitis (AD) in Romania

The aim of the report is to assess the current drivers and barriers in the management of atopic dermatitis (AD) in children and adult population In Romania. The needs assessment study enables the researchers to develop and implement a model of multidisciplinary interventions for patients with AD atopic dermatitis and their families aiming at improving outcomes - disease control, adherence and quality of life. The Romanian Association for Health Promotion (ARPS) implemented a formative research methodology testing current status of atopic dermatitis (AD) disease management in Romania and the patient journey.
